1
00:00:12,110 --> 00:00:13,770
Okay, folks!

2
00:00:13,770 --> 00:00:18,080
The next station after we cross this
mountain is Bresgia, the City of Swords.

3
00:00:18,080 --> 00:00:19,340
Finally.

4
00:00:19,340 --> 00:00:21,870
Are you also headed to the City of Swords?

5
00:00:21,870 --> 00:00:24,340
It's the city of dreams for
anybody who wields a blade.

6
00:00:24,340 --> 00:00:26,320
That's for sure.

7
00:00:26,320 --> 00:00:28,550
By the way, I'm a Dual Swordsman.

8
00:00:28,550 --> 00:00:30,320
Hmph. I'm a Barbarian.

9
00:00:30,320 --> 00:00:32,910
What's the problem?
We're both advanced classes.

10
00:00:32,910 --> 00:00:34,380
Let's work together.

11
00:00:34,380 --> 00:00:39,350
I hate being anywhere near people who
dress in ridiculous outfits like yours.

12
00:00:39,350 --> 00:00:41,830
Wow, you're a fussy one.

13
00:00:41,830 --> 00:00:45,310
Dual Swordsmen are all about speed,
so dressing light is key.

14
00:00:47,770 --> 00:00:50,180
Gosh, both of you are quite amazing!

15
00:00:50,180 --> 00:00:53,550
Even among advanced classes,
yours are especially powerful!

16
00:00:53,550 --> 00:00:55,180
Well, yeah.

17
00:00:56,240 --> 00:00:59,700
If you don't mind, could you
put that power to work?

18
00:00:59,700 --> 00:01:01,490
An orc horde?

19
00:01:01,490 --> 00:01:03,170
And look at that big one!

20
00:01:03,170 --> 00:01:04,700
It's a King Orc!

21
00:01:04,700 --> 00:01:07,910
They send whole parties
to hunt those things down!

22
00:01:09,130 --> 00:01:12,740
Sir Swordsman!
Please, you must help us!

23
00:01:12,740 --> 00:01:14,160
You gotta be kidding!

24
00:01:14,160 --> 00:01:16,600
I already have my hands full
keeping myself alive!

25
00:01:16,600 --> 00:01:18,810
C'mon, move it!
I'm getting outta this thing!

26
00:01:22,040 --> 00:01:25,260
Same here, I refuse to risk
my life for others!

27
00:01:27,860 --> 00:01:30,080
We gotta get outta here too!

28
00:01:30,550 --> 00:01:32,820
Sir, you're in danger!

29
00:01:32,820 --> 00:01:33,820
Eh?

30
00:01:41,120 --> 00:01:44,000
That boy is moving so fast,
it's like he vanished...

31
00:01:44,000 --> 00:01:47,040
A Blink Dash skill? Impressive.

32
00:01:47,520 --> 00:01:50,300
But it's difficult to use
when you're surrounded.

33
00:01:50,300 --> 00:01:53,250
What's he planning after this?

34
00:01:58,280 --> 00:02:00,750
Awesome! It's like he's dancing!

35
00:02:00,750 --> 00:02:02,640
Whoa! Am I seeing this right?

36
00:02:03,000 --> 00:02:05,350
There's no doubt about it...

37
00:02:05,350 --> 00:02:08,800
That's a counter-move skill only
the supreme class Sword Princess

38
00:02:08,800 --> 00:02:11,180
can use, "Blade Dance"!

39
00:02:11,180 --> 00:02:15,550
But the Sword Princess is a class
only women can achieve.

40
00:02:15,550 --> 00:02:16,770
So how can he use it?

41
00:02:29,290 --> 00:02:30,610
Wow!

42
00:02:30,610 --> 00:02:32,160
I don't believe this.

43
00:02:32,160 --> 00:02:34,690
He took down all of those orcs on his own...

44
00:02:35,700 --> 00:02:37,360
Problem solved.

45
00:02:37,360 --> 00:02:39,070
Please proceed to Bresgia.

46
00:02:39,070 --> 00:02:42,260
I want to train there and get stronger.

47
00:02:43,330 --> 00:02:47,220
Well, sir, I think you're already
plenty strong as it is...

48
00:02:47,710 --> 00:02:49,030
Hey, hey!

49
00:02:49,560 --> 00:02:51,590
You were amazing, Mister!

50
00:02:51,590 --> 00:02:53,020
What class are you?

51
00:02:53,470 --> 00:02:55,980
I... don't have a class.

52
00:02:55,980 --> 00:02:58,500
Whaaat?

53
00:04:42,700 --> 00:04:44,130
Oh my.

54
00:04:44,450 --> 00:04:48,430
You know, it looked like you just used
the Twin Blade Slice, but...

55
00:04:48,430 --> 00:04:49,920
Yeah, I did.

56
00:04:49,920 --> 00:04:52,330
Ah, then I must be dreaming.

57
00:04:52,330 --> 00:04:54,390
I can't believe I'd dream about this.

58
00:04:54,390 --> 00:05:00,360
I guess I still haven't accepted in my
heart of hearts that my Arel is classless!

59
00:05:01,760 --> 00:05:04,540
What an awful mother I am!

60
00:05:04,540 --> 00:05:06,210
Mom, this isn't a dream.

61
00:05:06,210 --> 00:05:08,700
I really learned how to do
the Twin Blade Slice.

62
00:05:08,700 --> 00:05:12,400
It took a lot of practice,
but I reproduced it all on my own.

63
00:05:12,400 --> 00:05:13,330
Oh?

64
00:05:13,730 --> 00:05:15,810
I want to recreate other skills too.

65
00:05:15,810 --> 00:05:19,800
So, will you show me your
Sword Princess skills?

66
00:05:20,490 --> 00:05:25,410
After I learn those, I want to go to Bresgia
and see how well I can tough it out.

67
00:05:25,410 --> 00:05:27,760
Uh, Mom?

68
00:05:29,470 --> 00:05:31,540
Sweetheart! Astea! Did you hear?

69
00:05:31,540 --> 00:05:34,620
Arel truly is a prodigy!

70
00:05:34,620 --> 00:05:37,830
Hey, Mom, can you just
show me those skills?

71
00:05:39,010 --> 00:05:40,980
Sir?

72
00:05:40,980 --> 00:05:42,580
Sir!

73
00:05:43,770 --> 00:05:46,230
We've arrived at Bresgia.

74
00:05:52,250 --> 00:05:54,370
There's a ton of Swordsmen here.

75
00:05:54,370 --> 00:05:56,830
Yeah. And plenty of
the advanced classes, too.

76
00:05:57,150 --> 00:05:58,950
Like you?

77
00:05:58,950 --> 00:06:01,300
I'm just a driver.

78
00:06:01,300 --> 00:06:05,250
An ordinary driver shouldn't be able to
precisely identify Swordsmen skills on the spot.

79
00:06:06,250 --> 00:06:07,700
Well, you got me there.

80
00:06:07,700 --> 00:06:11,220
The truth is that I'm of the
advanced Holy Knight class.

81
00:06:11,220 --> 00:06:13,170
Then why are you a driver?

82
00:06:13,170 --> 00:06:17,370
Fighting battles on the daily
gets exhausting.

83
00:06:17,370 --> 00:06:21,690
Sometimes I take trips while
working as a driver to refresh myself.

84
00:06:21,690 --> 00:06:25,150
I see. I never considered a life like that.

85
00:06:25,150 --> 00:06:27,220
If this is your first time in the big city,

86
00:06:27,220 --> 00:06:30,120
you should start by getting
affiliated with one of the guilds.

87
00:06:30,390 --> 00:06:35,870
Most of the Swordsmen here enter
battle tournaments and live off the winnings.

88
00:06:35,870 --> 00:06:39,840
But you can't join the tourney
if you aren't part of a guild.

89
00:06:39,840 --> 00:06:41,240
That's what I'm here for.

90
00:06:41,240 --> 00:06:43,800
I want to fight against the
strongest warriors I can find.

91
00:06:45,030 --> 00:06:49,440
Be careful, though. There can be
some nasty guilds out there.

92
00:06:58,180 --> 00:06:59,870
Join the Cavalries!

93
00:06:59,870 --> 00:07:02,680
We are a noble guild
made up of Knight classes!

94
00:07:02,680 --> 00:07:06,400
We welcome anyone who recognizes
the value of mutual progress!

95
00:07:06,400 --> 00:07:07,760
Hey there!

96
00:07:07,760 --> 00:07:09,430
We are Sword Road!

97
00:07:09,430 --> 00:07:14,120
Anybody with a blade is welcome to join us,
even Hunters and Thieves!

98
00:07:24,550 --> 00:07:25,820
Ouch.

99
00:07:25,820 --> 00:07:28,000
This guy dodged without even seeing me...

100
00:07:28,320 --> 00:07:30,660
But wait, isn't that a sign he's talented?

101
00:07:30,660 --> 00:07:31,460
Hm?

102
00:07:31,920 --> 00:07:33,290
Oh, nothing!

103
00:07:33,290 --> 00:07:35,250
Anyways, I've never seen you before.

104
00:07:35,250 --> 00:07:36,420
Are you new here?

105
00:07:36,420 --> 00:07:38,180
Maybe looking for a guild to join?

106
00:07:38,180 --> 00:07:39,420
That's the plan.

107
00:07:39,420 --> 00:07:41,710
Wow, how serendipitous!

108
00:07:41,710 --> 00:07:45,150
Actually, my guild happens to be
recruiting new members!

109
00:07:45,150 --> 00:07:46,380
Really?

110
00:07:46,380 --> 00:07:47,610
And so...

111
00:07:47,610 --> 00:07:48,590
Ta-da!

112
00:07:48,590 --> 00:07:51,180
Here's the enrollment contract for our guild!

113
00:07:51,180 --> 00:07:52,830
Please take it!

114
00:07:52,830 --> 00:07:53,850
I'll pass.

115
00:07:53,850 --> 00:07:55,450
Eh?

116
00:07:57,410 --> 00:08:00,970
How can you say that
without even looking at it?

117
00:08:00,970 --> 00:08:03,330
Nobody is that desperate
to recruit newbies.

118
00:08:03,330 --> 00:08:06,130
Not unless you're a minor guild
that's short on members.

119
00:08:06,410 --> 00:08:07,590
Gulp!

120
00:08:07,590 --> 00:08:10,610
No, no! Our guild is quite famous!

121
00:08:10,610 --> 00:08:12,300
Don't you mean infamous?

122
00:08:12,300 --> 00:08:13,820
Playing hard to get, huh?

123
00:08:13,820 --> 00:08:15,510
Then I'll throw in a special perk!

124
00:08:15,510 --> 00:08:20,220
You'll get the privilege of going on
a full-day date with me!

125
00:08:20,220 --> 00:08:22,470
I have no interest in you whatsoever.

126
00:08:23,210 --> 00:08:26,180
I knew her attitude seemed familiar somehow.

127
00:08:26,180 --> 00:08:27,690
It reminds me of my sister.

128
00:08:28,340 --> 00:08:30,840
Like how she thinks of herself
like a total bombshell,

129
00:08:30,840 --> 00:08:32,400
despite being flat as board.

130
00:08:32,800 --> 00:08:36,210
By the way, which guild around here
is the most powerful?

131
00:08:36,210 --> 00:08:38,280
You're really asking me that?

132
00:08:38,280 --> 00:08:41,120
Talk about rude!

133
00:08:42,310 --> 00:08:44,980
It's gotta be Black Blade.

134
00:08:44,980 --> 00:08:47,280
They've got 8 A-rank Swordsmen.

135
00:08:47,280 --> 00:08:48,800
They're located...

136
00:08:52,800 --> 00:08:55,260
So this is Black Blade, huh?

137
00:08:55,870 --> 00:08:57,120
What do you want?

138
00:08:57,120 --> 00:08:58,720
I want to join.

139
00:08:58,720 --> 00:09:02,290
You must pass a test in order to enter.

140
00:09:02,290 --> 00:09:04,180
Reception is back there.

141
00:09:11,180 --> 00:09:12,880
This will be fun.

142
00:09:13,970 --> 00:09:15,680
You want to register for the test, then?

143
00:09:15,680 --> 00:09:18,520
We require participants to be
advanced Swordsman class or higher,

144
00:09:18,520 --> 00:09:20,780
so can you please tell me your class?

145
00:09:20,780 --> 00:09:22,240
I'm classless.

146
00:09:23,730 --> 00:09:25,480
Please, pardon me.

147
00:09:25,480 --> 00:09:26,850
Classless, are you?

148
00:09:26,850 --> 00:09:29,210
Then unfortunately, I must ask you to leave.

149
00:09:29,210 --> 00:09:31,240
Hear that? Guy said he's classless.

150
00:09:31,240 --> 00:09:32,570
Tough break.

151
00:09:32,570 --> 00:09:34,670
No guild is gonna accept
someone without a class.

152
00:09:34,670 --> 00:09:36,860
Can't you make an exception?

153
00:09:36,860 --> 00:09:39,000
I'm confident I can pass your test
if you'll let me take it.

154
00:09:39,000 --> 00:09:42,390
I'm afraid not. Rules are rules.

155
00:09:47,480 --> 00:09:49,630
Holy crap! An A-rank Swordsman!

156
00:09:49,630 --> 00:09:52,090
I've never seen one so close up before!

157
00:09:52,090 --> 00:09:53,940
They've got a different intensity
about them, huh?

158
00:09:56,910 --> 00:09:58,310
Guess I have to leave.

159
00:09:58,310 --> 00:10:00,370
Maybe I'll have luck elsewhere.

160
00:10:09,080 --> 00:10:11,450
Well, shoot.

161
00:10:11,450 --> 00:10:14,050
I didn't think passing the screening
would be such a problem.

162
00:10:14,740 --> 00:10:16,000
Oh yeah...

163
00:10:21,540 --> 00:10:23,920
Since you're heading to Bresgia,

164
00:10:23,920 --> 00:10:27,040
I'll write a letter of recommendation
you can give to the people at my old guild.

165
00:10:27,040 --> 00:10:29,840
I'm sure they'll help you out.

166
00:10:29,840 --> 00:10:30,940
Mom...

167
00:10:30,940 --> 00:10:34,840
I thought it was excessive,
but maybe she predicted this situation.

168
00:10:34,840 --> 00:10:37,090
All right. Time to find this guild.

169
00:10:37,090 --> 00:10:40,410
Let me guess.
Still haven't found a guild to join yet?

170
00:10:40,410 --> 00:10:42,020
How about it? Wanna join mine?

171
00:10:42,020 --> 00:10:44,280
Don't know when to give up, do you?

172
00:10:44,280 --> 00:10:45,750
Huh?

173
00:10:49,410 --> 00:10:51,740
I'll be honest, our guild is
on the verge of being disbanded

174
00:10:51,740 --> 00:10:53,740
because we don't have enough people!

175
00:10:53,740 --> 00:10:55,360
Not my problem.

176
00:10:55,360 --> 00:10:56,700
Don't be like that!

177
00:10:56,700 --> 00:10:58,380
Just consider it charity or something!

178
00:10:58,380 --> 00:11:00,110
I'm begging you!

179
00:11:00,110 --> 00:11:01,500
No thanks.

180
00:11:01,500 --> 00:11:02,870
C'mon, why not?

181
00:11:02,870 --> 00:11:05,720
Is your heart colder than ice or what?

182
00:11:06,330 --> 00:11:07,790
Fine then!

183
00:11:07,790 --> 00:11:10,330
I'll even lick your shoes if you agree to it!

184
00:11:13,800 --> 00:11:15,020
Eh?

185
00:11:16,380 --> 00:11:19,210
I'm never giving up, you hear?

186
00:11:23,920 --> 00:11:26,320
The address is somewhere around here...

187
00:11:28,080 --> 00:11:30,160
At least come visit us!

188
00:11:30,160 --> 00:11:31,530
Give it a rest, already.

189
00:11:31,530 --> 00:11:34,160
Isn't your time better spent looking for
someone else who might agree?

190
00:11:34,160 --> 00:11:35,590
We're really close by!

191
00:11:35,590 --> 00:11:37,550
See, we're right there!

192
00:11:37,550 --> 00:11:39,780
That's where my guild is.

193
00:11:39,780 --> 00:11:41,500
It's huge.

194
00:11:41,500 --> 00:11:43,500
Right? Impressive, yeah?

195
00:11:43,500 --> 00:11:46,470
I told you, we're a famous guild!

196
00:11:46,470 --> 00:11:48,970
Then why are you so short on members?

197
00:11:48,970 --> 00:11:51,330
Uh, well, you see...

198
00:11:51,330 --> 00:11:53,440
Fell from glory, I'm guessing?

199
00:11:53,440 --> 00:11:55,010
Fine, I'll admit it!

200
00:11:55,010 --> 00:11:57,260
We're a mere shadow of our former glory!

201
00:11:57,260 --> 00:11:59,400
Our guild is the weakest of all right now!

202
00:11:59,400 --> 00:12:00,760
But rest assured!

203
00:12:00,760 --> 00:12:03,100
We're going to reclaim our golden age!

204
00:12:03,100 --> 00:12:06,370
As long as the Dual Sword King leads us,
then Dragon Fang is immortal!

205
00:12:06,890 --> 00:12:08,080
Hm?

206
00:12:08,160 --> 00:12:10,520
The guild I was in?

207
00:12:10,520 --> 00:12:12,810
It was led by a Dual Sword King

208
00:12:12,810 --> 00:12:16,960
who named the guild after
one of his skills, "Dragon Fang".

209
00:12:17,050 --> 00:12:19,650
This is the guild Mom was in.

210
00:12:23,070 --> 00:12:24,470
Go on in.

211
00:12:27,960 --> 00:12:29,890
Have a seat in here.

212
00:12:31,000 --> 00:12:32,930
What, a newbie?

213
00:12:35,400 --> 00:12:37,800
Ugh, Dad! You're drinking again?

214
00:12:37,800 --> 00:12:39,610
You know the doctor told you to stop!

215
00:12:39,610 --> 00:12:41,340
And think of the money!

216
00:12:41,340 --> 00:12:42,220
Shut up!

217
00:12:42,220 --> 00:12:44,830
This must be the Dual Sword King.

218
00:12:44,830 --> 00:12:46,780
But he's missing his right arm.

219
00:12:47,470 --> 00:12:49,120
Hey, kid, just leave.

220
00:12:49,120 --> 00:12:51,240
This guild is doomed.

221
00:12:53,150 --> 00:12:54,730
Dad!

222
00:12:54,730 --> 00:12:55,990
Gosh.

223
00:12:55,990 --> 00:12:59,710
Dad was one of the top two
Swordsman of Bresgia in the past,

224
00:13:00,110 --> 00:13:02,670
but ever since he lost an arm...

225
00:13:03,910 --> 00:13:07,640
Seeing this makes you
want to join us even less, huh?

226
00:13:07,640 --> 00:13:09,420
No, I want to join you.

227
00:13:09,420 --> 00:13:11,100
Yeah, I thought so...

228
00:13:11,100 --> 00:13:13,620
Wait, what? Why? Are you sure?

229
00:13:13,620 --> 00:13:17,090
Yeah. I couldn't join any other guild
even if I wanted to.

230
00:13:17,090 --> 00:13:19,710
Then let's get right to signing the contract!

231
00:13:25,240 --> 00:13:27,810
Okay, that seals the deal!

232
00:13:27,810 --> 00:13:30,700
You're Arel, huh? And your class is...

233
00:13:30,700 --> 00:13:32,910
Classless?

234
00:13:32,910 --> 00:13:35,940
C'mon, no more jokes please!

235
00:13:35,940 --> 00:13:37,270
It's true.

236
00:13:37,270 --> 00:13:39,380
Look, here's my Proof of Class document.

237
00:13:49,180 --> 00:13:52,830
You better rescind that contract right now
if you want to keep on living.

238
00:13:52,830 --> 00:13:53,720
Why?

239
00:13:54,210 --> 00:13:56,120
Because it's common freakin' practice

240
00:13:56,120 --> 00:13:59,050
for everybody who joins a guild to at least
have basic swordsmanship skills

241
00:13:59,050 --> 00:14:01,010
of a class like Swordsman or Knight!

242
00:14:01,010 --> 00:14:02,190
Oh really?

243
00:14:02,190 --> 00:14:03,380
Gah!

244
00:14:03,380 --> 00:14:07,670
You acted so freakin' high and mighty
that I never thought you'd be classless!

245
00:14:07,670 --> 00:14:08,670
Dammit!

246
00:14:08,670 --> 00:14:12,520
What help are you gonna be?
Our guild is still totally screwed!

247
00:14:13,740 --> 00:14:15,450
What's wrong, Lilia?

248
00:14:15,450 --> 00:14:18,080
I could hear you screaming from outside.

249
00:14:18,080 --> 00:14:20,050
Reiner!

250
00:14:21,450 --> 00:14:23,910
I was all excited I found
somebody to join our guild,

251
00:14:23,910 --> 00:14:26,000
but he's classless!

252
00:14:26,000 --> 00:14:27,130
Classless?

253
00:14:27,450 --> 00:14:28,720
It can't be...

254
00:14:29,460 --> 00:14:31,500
It IS you!

255
00:14:31,500 --> 00:14:32,930
Who're you?

256
00:14:32,930 --> 00:14:34,620
Huh? Don't you remember me?

257
00:14:34,620 --> 00:14:37,390
We're from the same village!
We used to train together!

258
00:14:37,390 --> 00:14:38,460
Hm?

259
00:14:38,460 --> 00:14:40,260
No, I can't say that I do.

260
00:14:40,260 --> 00:14:42,860
Come on! Think back five years ago.

261
00:14:42,860 --> 00:14:44,760
No, seriously.

262
00:14:44,760 --> 00:14:48,820
I'm positive that I would remember
meeting a beauty like you.

263
00:14:48,820 --> 00:14:50,430
B-Beau...

264
00:14:50,430 --> 00:14:52,170
Quit playing!

265
00:14:52,170 --> 00:14:55,790
Oh, but I do remember sparring
someone with your same hair color...

266
00:14:56,190 --> 00:14:58,400
But that was the son of Evans...

267
00:14:58,400 --> 00:15:02,250
Evans only had a daughter,
and that's me!

268
00:15:02,250 --> 00:15:03,530
Oh...

269
00:15:03,530 --> 00:15:05,710
So that was a girl...

270
00:15:05,710 --> 00:15:08,740
Sorry. I didn't think you were
the same person.

271
00:15:08,740 --> 00:15:13,180
Well, I'm sure I look different
since I grew my hair out so long.

272
00:15:13,580 --> 00:15:15,530
Other things grew too...

273
00:15:16,140 --> 00:15:18,850
Ah, it's nothing.

274
00:15:18,850 --> 00:15:21,510
Reiner! Is this the classless guy
you told me about before,

275
00:15:21,510 --> 00:15:23,820
the one you couldn't beat in a fight?

276
00:15:23,820 --> 00:15:25,680
Yes, that's him.

277
00:15:25,680 --> 00:15:29,770
I don't believe it. I thought you were
just joking about that.

278
00:15:30,050 --> 00:15:32,240
Well, yeah, it's practically unheard of.

279
00:15:32,560 --> 00:15:35,290
But I won't lose to him anymore!

280
00:15:35,290 --> 00:15:38,200
I've gotten much stronger
over these past five years!

281
00:15:38,600 --> 00:15:41,410
Okay. This is the perfect chance.

282
00:15:41,410 --> 00:15:43,740
There is a practice field downstairs.

283
00:15:43,740 --> 00:15:46,630
Let's have a bout for
old times sake, shall we?

284
00:15:49,590 --> 00:15:51,700
This is the practice field.

285
00:15:51,700 --> 00:15:54,060
It's pretty spacious.

286
00:15:55,260 --> 00:15:58,720
Reiner, are you really going to
fight this classless guy?

287
00:15:58,720 --> 00:16:00,580
Yeah. He's strong.

288
00:16:00,580 --> 00:16:03,680
I have to beat him.

289
00:16:04,260 --> 00:16:05,800
All right, then.

290
00:16:05,800 --> 00:16:08,420
Don't go too crazy, though.

291
00:16:09,590 --> 00:16:11,630
Take your position!

292
00:16:12,620 --> 00:16:13,910
Begin!

293
00:16:14,310 --> 00:16:16,120
Twin Blade Slice!

294
00:16:16,120 --> 00:16:17,720
The same skill as five years ago?

295
00:16:17,720 --> 00:16:21,120
Even though she knows I can use
my own to cancel hers out?

296
00:03:17,050 --> 00:03:22,010
Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?

297
00:04:30,990 --> 00:04:36,050
Bresgia, City of Swords

298
00:04:37,070 --> 00:04:39,960
Five years ago

299
00:05:46,230 --> 00:05:49,700
City of Swords Bresgia
